Nashville CARES offers psychiatric care and medications to our clinic patients. A staff psychiatrist meets with patients one-on-one to tailor a medication plan that works best for them. These services are offered in person at CARES 360, or via telehealth.

Lily (She/Her) helps clients define what wellbeing looks like for them and supports them on their path toward that vision. She fosters a welcoming, affirming environment in therapy to address life challenges and find opportunities for healing and growth. Lily is trained and experienced in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness practice, and more, and she utilizes various treatment methods based on the needs and goals of each client.

Cody (He/Him) believes that the first step in the therapeutic process is building a trusting relationship with clients by creating a safe and open space for thoughts, feelings, and experiences to be shared. The work done in session is meant to provide each client with a deeper understanding of their own strengths and abilities to reach their specific goals. Cody worked as a nurse for several years with patients living with HIV before becoming a therapist. This experience deepened his passion for helping to create better lived experiences for those living with HIV, the LGBTQIA+ community, and other marginalized populations. Cody utilizes tools from Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Systems theory to help tailor the therapeutic approach for his clients.

Kara (She/Her) believes that building a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients creates a safe space for healing, authenticity, and growth. Her approach recognizes and appreciates the deep connection between the mind and body; in therapy, Kara walks alongside her clients in their struggles and empowers them to find meaning and balance in their lives. Kara has more than 10 years of experience working with trauma, grief & loss, anxiety, depression, and more. She is certified in Brainspotting and incorporates other modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Neuro-Affective Relational Model, and more.

Chenxi (She/Her) brings a deep commitment to her clients' growth and healing journey. Recognizing the courage it takes for clients to embark on therapeutic work, she values the trust they place in her. Chenxi integrates various therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, Gottman's Methods, Jungian Psychotherapy, and hypnotherapy. Her practice also incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), allowing her to tailor her approach to the unique needs of each individual. By seeing the uniqueness in each person, Chenxi ensures a personalized and effective therapeutic experience aimed at supporting clients through their transformative processes.
